I think it might have to do with how many people are on. The drop rate might depend on demand, more people, same amount of drops, yet it seems like less because the same amount of greens has to be spread out.

Drop rate has nothing to do with time of day, or how many people are on, or what profession you play or how the planets are aligned on a certain month when the moon is full.
The only thing that matters is how much you are farming in a certain amount of time before the anti farming code kicks in. It's not specific on how this works but that's the only thing that affects the normal drop rate.

It's called luck. Good luck or bad luck, that's how greens drop. The "wheel" spins and the computer comes up with "105g" for a prize. But you did get a drop off the boss so at least you know the heros/henches didn't get it.
Remember also that 6-9am for you is a completely different time of day to another time zone.

Same here. 30+ bosses killed and no greens. Solo'd half a dozen and still nothing.
If you ask me, Anets code aint working properly.
EDIT to add.
Just did 7 boss runs and got...
Has anyone noticed an actual increase, or is it just an illusion because of killing more bosses than you would normally?

Hate to break it to you mate, but the Triple Green Drop is only Cantha. Those are both Nightfall bosses.

LMAO.
you've been playing for 17 hours. Please read more carefully next time and take a break from farming in the wrong continent.

NP, and good luck. The rate has been pretty good for our guild this weekend. Some have had much better luck than others. I've gotten a few greens on solo runs, but more impressively, my guildmate has gotten probably 15 greens while farming with heros. Not bad.

Lol, nice.
You've been playing for 17 hours. please DO NOT take a break, since we are all having too much fun laughing at the fact that you're farming on the wrong continent.

The guy admitted he made a mistake. Let it go. Besides, you really dont have much room to make fun of him since you thought the number of people online affected drops.

I was playing with my guild, and they all got Green drops, at least one, but me not one at all. Bad Luck you say, I doubt it. The only good part was that my guildee's were nice enough to share in the drops, so it turned out alright in the end.

Actually - that is not technically true. Unlike a physical wheel, a computer can not generate true randomness. In fact, if you know the method the programmers use to generate pseudo-randomness, it is possible to accurately predict the outcome. Obviously, since we players are not privy to the code, we can not do that. However, it is to be expected that players will notice breakdowns in the randomness of drops.
Back to the original question, if I am the only one tending to get green drops in the morning, it means nothing. If, however, several others have experienced it, then there is the possibility that the programmers did, in fact, factor in the number of people on line at a time - which does not seem likely. Or, which seems more likely, they keep the economy stable with code that if a particular boss is being farmed by a lot of people in a short period of time, his likelihood of dropping the green items would decrease. That would ensure that green items remain rare and fairly expensive, even during triple green weekends.
So, once more, I would like to know, anyone else experience better drops in the early morning hours?

Well, it was intended to be a non-technical explanation that could be understood by anyone.
Back to your question - want to tell us in which time zone you live? Otherwise, early morning means nothing.

Again, your theory is crap because of time zones.
You've got a ton of parinoia over this and I'm sorry to tell you it is almost definately not true.

I too have experienced it.
Greens drop more often in early hours.
Also I've been chest-running a lot lately and in the early hours I find almost every chest to have a golden drop for me. Same chests in afternoon drop 50/50 gold/purple.
Altho Gaile may say it's the same for everyone. From my own experience I say otherwise.
Morning-runs FTW
